My latest build is this 270 win off a Rem700 xcr2, in a LSS stock with a 10 twist #3 Bartlien at 25”
I really want to purchase a Winchester Super Grade or the Extreme Weather model, hence FN Herstal. I will rebarrel it with a 27" Bob Jury barrel, 10 twist. My goal is to achieve the best accuracy, however, to reach 3,400 fps with 130 gr. Nosler Accubond. I think that it may be accomplished with Reloder 26. It will be a very fun project and journey!!! I have a 27" Bob Jury barrel on my custom 240 Wby. Mag., Winchester model 70 FN Herstal action.......what a fecken rifle!!!! shoots a 90gr. accubond at 3,625 and 1/4" groups.
Nice rifle that you have. Who built it? Yes, there is a great selection of brass compared to the 270wsm and the 270 Wby. Yup, 3,400 fps is aggressive, but once I notice any signs of pressure, that's it, that's all. I'll wait for a Super Grade first, but thanks for the offer on he EW.
It will be damn close and pressures won't be too high. It may or may not group the best at that speed, likely to shoot better in the high 3200's

Nice rifle Buckmastr. The last few years I've been hunting with a 270 win, I've come to really like it now. I used to hunt with less common cartridges like the 284 win and 7 wsm. I still like the less common cartridges but they do nothing the 270 can't do. I was in Wall Mart today and saw lots of 270 win ammo there, not that it matters, I reload anyway. I have four 270's in my collection. My main hunting rifle is a Kimber Mountain Ascent, which will group 0.5" if I do my part. I also have a Winchester EW, a pre64 Winchester and a Ruger#1b. I'm going to see what velocity I can get with 130 gr and the ruger#1, it has a 26" barrel.
Thanks for displaying this interesting data, where did you retrieve it? I've conducted some research into RE-26 and thought that it would be a great project to pursue and achieve. If I can achieve 3,300, I would be pleased as punch, however groups MUST be 1/2" or less.

That's true, but there's lots of good bullets for the 270 that will work very well with common twists at the typical hunting ranges most of us shoot. The 270 always has been a very good choice and really does't give up that much to the comparable 280.
....... and FTR, I own a 7x57 and a 280.
