Awesome I know...

2 minutes with some duck tape and she is sturdy as hell. Some doubled sided tape to hold the base plates together and some around the joint to help with lateral movement and shes running great. I would of riveted or welded them together but I wanted to be able to take the apart easily. Just drop the mag, flip it around and slam it home and your good to go. I'll get some OD GunTape soon enough to make it match more.

Heres a glam shot with my current pig. Just got all the OD furniture in the other day and I am digging the green. If anyone is wondering about the fire slector, I lost my spring so that dent is having a great time moving around everywhere. New spring repair kit coming on Tuesday from Wolverine.

I have some low profile ladder covers coming for my top rail and I am still trying to decide on optics. EoTech's are nice, but I would like some sort of magnified optic.

Bottom mag should be facing the same direction as the top mag (bullet forward), no?

If I were to do that I would have to flip it vertically then spin it horizontally around because the cartridge would be the wrong way. This way its just one flip and its good to go. + for some reason they don't sit well on each other when they are the same way, the magazine tabs that hold the baseplate on hit. This way they sit next to each other and lock in preventing movement.

I may be just picky, but I hate when people call things like this "20 round mags". That would imply that it feeds 20 rounds one after the other untill empty...which this does not. Same thing with thoes dumb "30 round" star clips for 10/22s. Why do people call these things that their not?

Screw the tape, who's going to be the first to make a custom baseplate to fit both mags? They will sell like hot cakes and I will be the first in line for them.:)

why would you not just have 2 10 round mags, but have them both facing the same up (up and forward), then haven them in a "step" pattern.

take two mags and put them side by side, now move them 1" apart, and take the right one and drop it an inch lower.

this way you don't have to flip the mag around. just drop it, move it 1 inch to the left and reinsert it back up.

Because that did not accomplish what I wanted out of this. I loved the magazines but the look and feel of the short 10 rounder was not doing it for me. This way its much more similar to the length of a 30 round magazine and can be used in magazine pouches without having to lengthen it via a magpul and having issues grabbing and manipulating it.

Sweet idea as far as using the "twin stack" in vests ect. Gives it the length of a regular 5/30 and it holds 20 in the same space as one 5/30! I like it! Now you just have to make custom base plates to join the two 10rd mags in black and OD for this! ;)

Cabelas has something similar in their catalogue...

Its really only for when I shoot standing. Anything else I'll take the 5/30 because its well, normal.
