My last production match is Feb 2017 if I remember correctly. I were a B class shooter at that time. After that I have shot Standard and Open, I enjoy both divisions. I pick up a Shadow 2 recently, and love to give it a try in production division again.
The Shadow 2 shoot so soft with Campro 124 gr and Titegroup powder. Lots of A. Love how it perform. And I end up 2nd place in production division this time. Production Division winner shoots a Shadow 2 also.

Shadow 2 got myself and several other shooters a DQ from flying out of holsters. Get some retention if you plan to use this pistol.

What kind of holster were you or others using?
I have been running one for nearly 2 years and shoot with lots of others running them. Never heard of this issue before.

Nice shooting Jim,
maybe I should have squadded with you after all.

Did I win something being 2nd place shooting a Shadow 2? :)
I won a nice CZ hat at this match.

‘...several other shooters..” Really? That’s not the gun it’s a holster issue you and the “several other shooters” had. Been literally running IPSC and occasionally 3 Gun stages with my two Shadow 2’s since they were released with no issues.

Good shooting magictalent.

Bladetech. Feels locked down tight until you have to sprint 70m across a field. The heavy pistol with a full mag walks itself past the friction point and pops. I'm not blaming the gun I'm simply giving a warning for people who plan to use it in 3 gun. The issue happens with experienced guys, not just day one scrubs.

I'd hope you have no issue with the gun falling out of a holster in IPSC. Beep, draw gun, hold in hand for remainder of the COF. No actual movement with the firearm holstered.

I have switched to the safariland holster with retention that releases as you grab the grip. I'd recommend it. Lets me haul ass without worrying about my pork chop taking a dive.

I see your point now.

On the occasions I do run with it in my holster in IPSC matches I tend to have my hand on it. I’ve used it a few times in 3 Gun, but find it to heavy for an all day match with all my other gear on the belt, so I mostly use my Walther PPQ 5” in 3 Gun, which weighs next to nothing compared to my S2 and retains very well in the holster when running crawling climbing if holster is adjusted correctly.

Both are great guns for different reasons.

On the topic of holsters lol...

I have a basic ghost kydex holster for my cz but I dont like it at all. The cz shadow weighs too much and the holser ends up digging into your leg. Any other better suggestions? Maybe I need to opt for a holster with support.

I like my Red Hill Tactical holster, I run it with barely any retention. Since I draw my gun immediately during a COF.. therefore no risk of it falling.
