Awesome thread... looking really hard at a TUF-22 receiver to finish my Troy chassis build that I’ve been working on since June... just waiting for my pesky PAL to finally be approved... 96 days and counting! Still “in progress”...

With luck, both my PAL and the official release of the TUF-22 will happily coincide with each other!

Thanks for all your hard work, Leigh and Co and also thanks for your speedy delivery of random parts over the last few months. Can’t wait to come down and visit you in person!

We have just got notice the 2nd version of the modified magazines are in the mail and are expected here *hopefully* this week. Provided CBSA lets them through and doesn't mistake them for standard 25 round 10/22 mags that is.

Once we get them in we will go over them asap and get word to the manufacturer. If they are good (and I'm confident they will be this time) then it's a GO and we should have the first 1,000 mags within a month or so.

I know you guys are anxious to get these in and go have some fun but we really don't want to have mags be released that are sub par. Thanks for your patience.

Once the magazines are approved by us to go into full production we can release the receivers / complete rifles.

(However, if you choose to get the receiver / rifle before the magazines actually get to us you will be responsible for the extra shipping of the mags once they ship from us to you.)
 
I assume if the mag works well with the receiver Dlask will start full production on the TUFF-22 (it is replacing the DAR-22 after all). I bet they will be in our hands before we know it

Edit: Dlask confirmed my thoughts before I could finish my typing. I'll start picking out parts to build the rifle this week.

The new website has had some glitches to be sure, we are sorting them out now on an ongoing basis. If you need something in particular please just call me at the shop and I will sort you out on the spot.

It did. The Lab didn't do anything to it really except put some white Crayon in the markings on the receiver so they could take photos for their "Mean and scary killing machines" scrap book (FRT). The barreled action of the gun we sent in got swapped to one of our precision rifle chassis' however so I don't think your daughter would want it now.

But, I would be very happy to assemble an exact replica of it for her if you'd like, just give me a call at the shop and we will sort out the details of the build.
 
Why don't you start selling the TUFF stripped receivers .
People want to build 1022's & your stock of DAR receivers seems to have dried up .
As you have stated the TUFF will accept standard 1022 mags as well as the long long awaited TUFF mag when ever it actually materializes.
 
We have gotten word that the latest version of the TUF magazine is inbound to us now, it should be here end of this week, beginning of next. The day it arrives we will be fitting it to the receivers and if all fits well, and we are confident it will, then it's full steam ahead with production. Shouldn't take more than a month or so to get the first shipment. Despite the US Gov't shutdown we planned ahead and already obtained the export permit so that won't be a problem ( :
 
Thx for the update Leigh....I am one of perhaps a few the just want the receiver (Serial #53). I plan on using the 10/22 rotary mags only. When can I expect "stripped receivers only" being shipped...
