has anyone ever used magellan explorist 500 le ?

Hi I just got a new mag explorist 500 le gps but don't know how to use it,do I have to download something into it before I use ?I just turn it on but really do not know how to use it,maybe I am too old to use new technology lol......any help would be appreciated,thanks a lot!!!
 
I haven't used the 500 but I have the XL which in function is identical. There should've been a quick start quide with it. You should not have to download anything to it, just have to let it initialize which just involves turning it on and leaving it in one place for a while (10 minutes or so for mine).. If you've got any specific questions let me know, I use mine on a daily basis.... have a good one

Thanks buddy!!! I got it,now I am getting familiar with it,just need more Patrice then I will master it,thanks again.
