Picked up a box of these in .308 165gr for my 30-06. Not much for reviews, comments etc on them yet as they are so new.
Anyone try any yet?
Initial thoughts, they are likely an accurate hunting load being this is really a redesigned Tipped Game King
The transparent green tip is a neat look and is suppose to hold up better. There are a number of air bubbles in each of the tips which I am unsure if this will effect each bullet differently
Purchased the 165gr and they all weight in +/- .20 grain either way with the extreme being .40gr. This is similar to my other quality rounds as well.
I have loaded some up to find some groupings. The real test will be taking an animal this season

I bet they act like the old style ballistic tips, ok for whitetail lungshots , but blow up on Elk shoulder.

Might I ask why you are trying to shoot through heavy bone instead of heart or lung shots, you only loose meat on shoulder shots!

Some people value the meat above all else, some value the animal dropping where it stands more. Im generally in the meat camp, but I can certainly think of situations where anchoring the animal beats losing some meat... I hunt a lot in some very steep, heavily wooded terrain, and if that deer goes over the next ledge (which is usually not more than 20yds away) you'll have your work cut out for you with regards to retrieving said animal.

All Sierra bullets are just cup and core bullets no? No bonding or other fancy stuff to make it hold together on heavy bone?

Introducing the Sierra GameChanger hunting bullets: the perfect combination of Sierra’s legendary match accuracy coupled with deadly penetration. Sierra re-engineered their legendary MatchKing bullet into a hollow point design for quick expansion and fitted it with a transparent green tip for ballistic uniformity. Inside, the GameChanger features a unique construction that utilizes a special lead alloy surrounded by a tough copper jacket that delivers excellent penetration and expansion at a variety of ranges. It’s a GameChanger on any hunt!

I doubt they will act like a ballistic tip

So double the price of the ones without the pretty glow in the dark tip.

If they want to price near a accubond, they will not sell. Tipped premium bullets are offered by every maker. I suspect each makers fanboys will keep using those, while people who use sierra for economy will also not buy them.

Time will tell.

I wouldn't use Hornady SST on elk either from what I've seen they come apart on bone.Don't know about these ones.........time will tell.
