What 22lr rifle would you take squirrel hunting?

So a bit of a fun one to ramp up to the tree rat season that is approaching fast!

I will obviously be using both rifles for the season. I am conflicted as to what one I want to take out more and call my "favorite". Help me decide!

Ideally the custom tac driver will be used late season when I have to take farther shots and be accurate, while the cooey will come out early in heavy foliage when shots are close.


The 11lbs Custom 10/22. with 6x24-50mm optic (It will have a sling and a 6 ft shooting mono pod stick)

OR

The Dads Cooey with a 1-5 and a leather sling. (will ideally shoot off hand or using trees as support)

This is the intention. Im curious to see if lugging the weight of the 10/22 will make me decided not use it as much as the cooey simply for a more enjoyable woods walk.

The cooey is a good shooter I get about an inch at 50 with decent ammo.

Eating! I found even when reducing the Shotgun is less effective. One boom they all go hide.

I already own a nice game bag.

I try to use a diffrent rifle every season.

Last year was a savage 17hmr. Fantastic rifle.
