Winchester 61 Value

I've come across a 1957 Vintage Winchester Model 61. I'm super impressed with the fit and finish on this little gun and it's fun to shoot. Makes me feel like I'm out roaming with Ol' Yeller in the back 40. And now I'm sad. Poor Yeller.

It's in excellent condition, but has been shot and used, so a few scuff marks. It's had the rear sight removed and capped and a William's receiver mounted peep sight installed. Someone has put a small mother of pearl inlay on the bottom of the pump.

I've no intention of selling it but need a price for my records. Any thoughts on what it's worth?

I have a sweet 61 gallery gun that was my grandfathers, and a m63, don't care about values as they will never leave the clutches of family!

Slickest little shootin stick I own. If you start using it you will love it. Used to be fun when I lived where there were cottontails.

Guessing no less than $500...but would be a little surprised if it fetched $600. Handsome gun, too pretty to leave in the safe though. Were it unmodified and in that (original?) condition? Probably TOO nice to shoot if I owned it. lol
