Importing projectiles

People...he wants jacketed bullets for his 38-55. If he's having the same issues with his old '94 as I am, then I understand the need to try it.
X-Reload has jacketed Barnes Originals .377.........

Thanks for the tip, not sure if they the best for my gun yet but definitely the closest in Canada to what I want. I might have to call them though as the website only shows 1 box available.

I assume this is the sort of guy you were thinking about

If you find a Canadian importer that is not crazy expensive please keep us in the loop, lots of odd calibers there.

Nope, but thanks for the help. I asked the source I found if he did the export documents and his response is suspiciously absent...
I like the old gun but I’m not about to test the US judicial system.

No kidding, with my luck I would be the 1 in 10,000 that gets pulled over on exit, not worth the risk for a few lead pills.

Are you shooting this gun with lead cast for plinking? If you do find a source maybe you can find a cast load that is close at your plinking range and save the good ones for hunting, I plan on that for a couple guns.

Where on Earth did you come up with this? It is completely untrue.

From International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Sec. 121.1, Part III, Para. f:

called bullet central last week for some custom bullets and they checked and said they are like trigger just under the 500 limit that is where I got my info call them Jeff

also the manufacturer if they have the proper permits to export it helps as well

not talking about some gomer in his basement making bullets for sale but recognized bullet manufacturers,

also I asked prophet river last year if I could bring some bullets up for the price they quoted on their website in a quantity of 3 or 4 thousand and the price is for one order and not per box if they are in 500 or 1000 count boxes, so I would deal with them but bullet central said they could send them as the paperwork they have qualifies for export

Cast lead is easy to get and I probably will wind up doing something as you suggest.
But I would really like to get a good jacketed load and fill some tags with it, more so than range time.

As I understand it, there are laws about exporting bullets from USA. But I am not aware of any law in Canada about importing bullets.

So if US dealer says he will ship them to a Canadian address, order away...

You risk having them confiscated at the border, that happens and good luck getting your money back.
