M305 price cheque?

List it high and keep lowering the price till it sells.
I doubt you'll get any more money for it because it's a 2007 but it should make it an easier sell.
 
It depends how fast you want it to move.
The 2007 year models are desirable. But what made them very desirable was how affordable they were.

$500 would be a great price. Less so towards $700
 
Unfired from one of the most desireable years of m305 manufacture, I’d pay a bit more than quoted here, but I’m a fool.
 
The price on M14S /M305 rifles has dropped noticeably with the arrival of the BCL102 and STAG-10 to the market. I have seen several 2007-2012 rifles listed in the last couple of weeks in the $425-475 range. This is easily down a hundred bucks from where they were at the start of the year.
 
This would have little to do with C-71, eh BR?

The late 90’s-2010(ish) rifles “should” demand a premium IMHO, that quite often isn’t the case....

Anything made between 2011-2015 should be examined thoroughly and anything between 2015-today should be “avoided“... again IMHO.....

pretty much my opinion as well John.
In reality , those preferable years of M14s/M305 receivers that are verified in spec (sight pocket/scope mount hole/safety bridge) should be fetching a market price of 500 to 600 bucks just for the stripped receiver , when comparing to 1250.00 (ballpark) for other options but that is not the reality.
Unfortunately these last few years of trash imports have kind of tarnished the platform and we are back to the days where folks steer clear.
For almost a decade, the m14 rifle dominated this forum and has slowly began to fade in popularity for new shooters/tuners/builders as the prices climbed and quality shot through to the muck below the basement.

I think it’s telling that a pre 1995 made stripped reciever sells for $1500 USD on gunbroker, while LRB, Bula, etc can be had for half that amount...

Personally, I like the LRB M25, but if I was building a non-scoped rifle, for myself.... I would be using a CJA marked pre-2007 reciever as a starting point... GI parts more-or-less drop right in. Dimensionally “correct” and forged! Add in a custom heelstamp and a refinish and it’s still cheaper than anything out of the US.... even if the dollar was at par....

there was another thread recently with this question. It comes up from time to time.
Below the stock line of the receiver on the left hand side there is a series of numbers. These are often referred to in the m14 comminity as lotto numbers due to the way they are stamped.
anyhow, past practice has been to write those numbers down and contact cgn member different (google lee emerson) and he is one guy that can help decipher any useful info from those numbers.

now when we talk about the chinese rifles in reference to years , example 2005, 2007, 2009 and so on, we are talking about "import years". I can't recall now if the import year engravings starting in 2005 but I know for sure that they were on all 2007 and everything since. The Import year has zero to do with manufacture year as far as forged chinese .308/7.62x51 m14 receivers go.

yup I agree man. funny thing I built a rifle for my brother with all GI and SEI parts on an unmarked , perfect dimension chinese reciever ...... the ones guys like us drool over when we come across them...... you know, the ones americans list for 1500USD on gunbroker ....... he turned his nose at it and sent it back to me LOL

This thread lead me towards my now 4th M14-style (3rd M305) rifle. Giddy as a school girl to see what an unfired '07 is like!
