Kahles scopes?

I run a K624i on my 6.5. It tracks perfect, glass is great, I am very pleased. Only negative is with white, or very bright objects there is some CA, from what I see it does not affect the clarity or ability to read thE mirage.

I bought a used K16i. Didn't use it much yet but looks excellent. Turrets, knob, clarity and fov seems a bit better than my NXS scopes.

I have three. They are excellent scopes, top of the line. Turrets are crisp, reliable and repeatable. Zero stop is solid. Good reticle choices, although I only use the SKMR-3, which is perfectly suited to PRS type shooting. The parallax dial is bang on, the numbers match exactly with the distances. Optically, they are right up there with the S&Bs, ATCARS and others. I haven't noticed any aberrations or tunneling.
A perfect combination of features I am looking for in a scope. Obviously, or I wouldn't have three of them.

I am wondering .... has anybody any experience with Kahles scopes? Are they worth the money?

I am looking for first hand experiences with Kahles scopes. Meaning, have you owned one ... have you looked through one .... have you shot with one .... have you handled one .... ??

Thanks,

IMHO - yes!
Where are you located? I have 2 or 3 unmounted at the moment I could let you check out if near. Flip me a PM if you're central Ont. and want to see for yourself.

I haven't owned one but I've looked through and played with a few of them, and they are fantastic. I would not hesitate to drop money on a Kahles. I want to get my hands on one of the 6-24I. Looks like an amazing long range optic.

The new Kahles 5-25 has even superior glass to the 6-24 according to information given in West Virginia recently by company reps. Just came back from shooting 100-800m using new 3.5-18 which is quite compact. Will try at longer distance with this scope shooting 6.5X47 Lapua and get feedback from snipers at CISC at Gagetown this weekend.

Best regards,

Peter

We are aware of Kahles claim but have also seen claims that Hensoldt was first, making scopes in the 1800's as well and were used against the allies in WW1 and then barred after the "war to end all wars", leading to affiliation with Zeiss in 1928. Sadly, this information is now not easy to find and we discarded our printed info. Airbus seemingly does not wish to talk about this.

I have 3 K624i scopes. One with a MSR-K reticle for the .308, the PRS rifle has a SKMR3 reticle, and an AMR reticle for the ELR rifle. The quality of the Khales is great - in line with all the other top tier scopes. Tracking, FOV, eye box forgiveness, parallax forgiveness, glass quality and importantly reticle choices are great with the Khales line. IMO, I think Khales has the best reticle selection, which is why I keep purchasing their scopes.

I don't have any experience with the new K525, but I'm sure it's also a great scope. The only complaint I've heard about it is that the FOV isn't as big as the K624 scopes.

kahles is building lenses forever .... kahles as been bought by Swarovski for that reason.

there is only a few that build glass or lenses then the treatment is what a glass different.

Again where does it say they make their own glass? If they do they'd certainly show it in the factory tour video below?
