Hi

I got this pistol as part of a trade about 2 years ago, it is well used, about 2000 rounds, but it's the most accurate pistol I've ever had. Owner sold because he moved out of the country. But it was his main pistol for half IPSC season.
On the slide I see STI, but there is no model reference.
Previous owner said it was customized, and the serial number starts with ARMCO....

I'd like to know what it is and estimated value if possible as I want to asses if I should restore it's finish and keep it or sell it.

Thanks

Looks like an STI Edge? But the slide is different.
Edit: Nope, the Edge has a full length dust cover...

STI Ranger with some extras?

Edit #2- Lol I don't know much about STI 1911s/2011s. Is the mag double stack?

STI slide and frame I built a couple of open guns a 9x21 and a 38 super on that chassis. I think Brownell price back in the nineties was $100 for the slide and around $200 for the frame . Times have changed.

The "Armco" name is Armco Machine & Plating (armco-guns.com) in Prince George, BC, run by Gunnar Christensen. He's retired as a gunsmith now, although he still sells stuff. From what I understand, he did very good work. I've bought a few guns from him over the years.

I see he has a customized STI Tactical 10mm on his website at the moment. (Just sold, actually)

Considering it's used with unknown round count, if it we're my gun, I would personally price it at 2200$+shipping w/1 mag on the EE, with a weekly 50$ off bump, ending up the sale around 1900-2000$ I suppose.
I have purchased and sold many STIs these past few years.
Don't take this opinion as a true assessment, just another opinion you can use in the mix of opinions you'll receive.

Nice gun I would keep it if it shoots that well..

My intention was to keep it, but I can't see iron sights well anymore even after laser eye surgery because I still need reading glasses, so I'm keeping another one that has a red dot on.
Yes, it's the most accurate pistol I have. Only my other STI with reddot gives me better results, but that I assume is because of the sight.

Btw, it has an "Ed Brown" barrel in .40sw

Install a fiber optic rod in front sight it might help you, looks like a fiber optic sight that's empty by judging picture.

I am the same as you, mind you I see quite good with short barrel guns, 3-4 inch, revolvers, I don't shoot 40's , but as Gunner built the thing, it will be a good one. If you where dumping it, I could start with 40's LOL.
I have a red dot on a custom built 45 1911 that will shoot, if I could hold steady X ring, black on black sight on 5-6inch guns don't work great, thou I put some pink Florence paint on a Dan Wesson 6 in and that worked for me, a bit Girly, but at my age , don't matter
