Hi all,
does anyone know where to buy sig parts for a build? ( stripped frame, slide etc...) not sure if this is a silly question, if anyone actually does this, I've never really heard anyone talk about it but I am looking to slowly buy up parts to assemble. Should I just spend the $ and buy a brand new one instead?

I kind of figured, the 1911 gets so much attention when it comes to builds, just looking to do something similar. Mostly its a cost deferred plan for me, I'll probably just end up saving for it though.

That's pretty much you're only option for a 226. The 1911 gets the attention it does because it's the most popular handgun platform.

Internet wisdom says swapping out the bbl. and spring does not work on a 226. I bought a 226 and buddy bought a 9mm and .357 Sig slide complete with bbl. so it has 3 calibres. I have not shot the 40 or 357 but he says they are good. He paid $500 each for these slides. They come in a little pistol case with magazines.

I have checked around and found these slides too, I think it'd be next to impossible to find stripped frames though...Oh well, one can try.

Thanks gents
