I need one of these like I need a kick in the arse, but I'm drawn to the simplicity of it..and intrigued by a modern gun manufacturer revisiting such an old design. I own a Cooey 84 in 20ga (MOD) that I don't use much, but love the thing. There is no looking at a Cooey 84 and wondering "will that work reliably if I take it out today?" lol Anyhow, being Savage/Stevens...I doubt the level of finish is very good, but these guns have interchangeable chokes...and sell new for just under $250 Canadian. I'm wondering how long I can avoid one. :) Anybody know if they're made in the US?

Theyre made in prc. China. They look like packerized finish and appartently have a solid feeling synthetic stock. Push button take down forearm and strong ejector.
Ive been debating on buying one either in 12 or 20ga however i have no reason i have 20 12gauges now but my daughter will need a light scattergun lol
Ive only found one dealer who carrys them
Ill likely buy one to try eventually

I have 2 x 12ga shotguns...and that feels like 1 too many. lol Granted, one was my grandfather's Remington 11-48 I inherited over 30 years ago. The other a Remington Versa Max I bought new a few weeks ago.

China~makes sense at that price, and I've had a couple of Chinese shotguns in the past that were very solid/decent guns. I could see one of these in 20ga, compact with a MOD and FULL tube. Could be a pretty handy thing.

Not crazy about the safety on the side? They seem to get decent reviews the most negative seems to be that there made in China but they look like a copy of H&R.
