ONT New restricted transfer wait times??

My first ever restricted transfer took 7 days, 5 business days. (purchase from retailer) - updated RPAL with transfer conditions showed up 3 business days after approval.
My second restricted transfer took 8 days, 6 business days. (private purchase from CGN)

These were both in the last 2 weeks. Both in Ontario. Have a third restricted on day 4 right now.
 
Yeah, 8 days for my first restricted as well. Got it last week.

My third restricted transfer was approved today. Shortest yet, 6 days from a dealer (4 business days). Seems like they're getting caught up.

So, started well after mine and finished already, as I march on approaching a month...

I am calling them today. I've actually had longer waits in the past, and it's always annoying. But right now, it's particularly galling since many others are having theirs processed much quicker than the current one I'm waiting on.

But of course, this whole process is nothing more than a useless exercise that accomplishes nothing besides the waste of time and money while contributing nothing to anyone's safety.

Made a purchase after business hours on Sept 27th. Assuming transfer initiated on the 28th. Today Oct 4th receive shipping notification. So just under 1 full week.

They also make it worse by being slow and specifically because it is so random to create concerns and questions so they cause us to have to call in and on it goes.

There seemed to be a definite improvement around when C-71 first hit perhaps as some sort of effort to create a positive spin and 'feel good' initiative for trying to slip that by.

That appears to have dissipated....

Yeah I made a purchase during business hours on the 26th and nothing yet. And Chuckbuster has been waiting a month, that’s insane.

Yeah, I was getting seriously annoyed, because it's all on the Ontario CFO, and the time it takes to process a transfer is a matter of supreme indifference to that office. And of course nobody in government seems to want to do anything about it.

It’ll be two weeks tomorrow and I’ve still got nothing. Think I might call them tomorrow, not sure that’ll even help but I’m getting impatient seeing as people here are getting a few days turnaround time.
