CZ or Marlin

I just picked up a virtually brand new CZ 455 in 17 HMR (the bolt is not even broken in yet); I have yet to shoot it, but am very impressed with the fit, finish and workmanship.

You have a very nice little rifle there! I have six 455's, 3 Canadian, 3 American. :)

Thanks, it is indeed sweet! This is the first CZ that I have owned; my cousin has an old Brno .222 he bought in the '80s and will not part with it. Neither will the guys at our club although I did win the "optics" class with my JW 15 with a cheap Tasco Pronghorn scope at last weeks open .22 shoot).

I have every confidence that it will shoot well for me. I have put a good quality Tasco Silver Antler varmint scope on it, and it has shot well for me on a couple different rifles. I am keen to get out and get it sighed in; I have bought 4 different kinds of ammo and hope to find the one it likes best!

Just dumped a Marlin 60SS.
Considering the hype and u-tube reviews I was expecting it to be something special.
It wasn't. It's sold now.
My 10/22 takedown was more considerably more accurate with the same ammo.
I only intended to keep one of them.
