Who does barrel extensions?

There was a thread about Prohibited handguns and someone mentioned that he did barrel externsions. I don't know who it was, and I can't find the thread by using the search feature. I am wondering how much it would cost, because I may have a line on a S&W 39 that I want to use for CRFSC, but I don't have 12-6.

He has done many barrel shortenings and extensions, conversions from prohib to restricted, etc. Very professional work. It might take a little longer to get your gun back than with some gunsmiths, but the work will be excellent.

He has some examples of his work on his website.
 
As I understand it, you can not use live firearms for the course anyway. You can simply dewat your m-39 and not worry about having a longer barrel! I will however haunt you for wrecking a perfectly good gun but you can do it!!

Huh? I used life firearms for my tests...
 
A dewat is worthless for teaching the CRFSC. The firearm can be disabled. Barrel extensions don't count for reclassifications. Rebarrels do.
 
I don't want to take the firing pin out of my new Grand Power K100 to do tests or courses. It wasn't much of a job with the CZ75, but it looks more serious with the GP100 because it has a firing pin safety interlock with the trigger. I guess I will have to keep my eyes open for a cheap handgun. I would like a single/double action so both could be shown and a chambering that I can obtain dummy ammunition for.

not true, an extention can be used, BUT it must be sleaved( barrel Liner installed so the bore is one piece .
 
Simply extending the barrel will not be accepted.
Extending the barrel, reaming and sleeving is a different situation. Barrel length as well as calibre could be changed.
Depending on the design, the breech of the barrel could be retained, and a new tube installed. There are autoloading pistols made this way, with two piece barrels.
 
I should have said in post yersterday, that the I know about is a s-w rev.
Cost wise ,it is a iffy thing unless it is something special ie- I have to have that.
