Id like to add about 3/4 to a pound to my trigger pull of my CZ SP01. Right now it's sitting around 2lbs, 11oz. I'd like it around 3.5-4#

I have no idea the spring combo on this used gun. So what springs could I install to get it up about a pound?

Thanks

In Production Division you will not be able to comply with a #3.5 rule if Shadow is used......Shadow is a DA firearm and the first shot must be DA with over #5 pull.

#3.5 is for strikefires.......

That great if I was shooting IPSC. But I'm not.

I'm shooting PPC. I bought the gun used and wasn't aware the trigger was 2lb 11oz. SO I like to increase the trigger pull to comply with their 3.5# rule.

It is the hammer that makes the biggest difference in single action pull. I doubt you will be able to raise it much with a mainspring considering you have the competition hammer.

Pretty tough to get more trigger pull on a CZ. Even with a heavy main spring and comp hammer i would be surprised if it would work. You will need to hit 4lbs in my opinion as that you want to be sure it passes the weight lift consistently. Also dont want a horribly heavy double action pull as a by product. I played around with this exact thing for the exact same reason with no success.

the entire point of SA is that it is light and easy to pull, and it's a function of the geometry of the sear and hammer more than it is the springs used. You'd need to find a crappy old hammer with sh!tty hooks to get it in the range you are looking for.

I had the same issue. A 22lb hammer spring got me too 3 pounds nine ounces. I tried everything lighter and couldn't pass. I put a 24lb in a Shadow 2 and a baby eagle at the PPC match Sunday to get them past the check weight.

Yeah. Had a bad match myself, my 50m targets were a disaster.I work away and my only 50m practice session got ruined by an idiot that showed up at the range and started shooting while I was downrange changing targets.
Ended up going into my 50m stages blind as to point of impact for a load I just developed over the summer. Had a fun day though, Bob puts on a good match.

Bummer...I hope the guy got removed from the range? The night before I realized my CZ wouldn't pass and used a gun I never shot past 20M. It was my first match and I loved it. But all my 50m practice was done with the CZ. I didn't think of changing the hammer the night before.
