Elephant Defense thread:D

The NDP woud likely attempt negotiating at the elephant's a$$ end. So while they engaged in full negotiations, feed the elephant lots of fibre.

Sit elephant, sit.....:D

Bait them with the NDP. While they are trying to negotiate with the elephants, sneak up behind them and club them over the head.
We all know you meant to club the NDP over the head, but it almost sounds like you'd hit the elephant. That would be mean, as we don't want to cause unnecessary suffering to sentient animals. NDP, on the other hand, don't meet that criterion.

Here's my solution. With 6 rounds of .375 H&H, just make sure of what's behind the elephant in case you're shooting in the city!

:D

On a serious note I would have walked them home, finders keepers! :D
For me as an animal trainer finding 2 tame trained elephants would be sweet, and they could help allot with my yard work. :)
It wouldn't surprise my wife in the slightest to see them walking into our yard behind me. :D

700 nitro express

The .700 Nitro Express develops an approximate average of 8900 foot pounds (12000 joules) of muzzle energy with a 1000 grain (65.8 gram) bullet at 2000 f/s (2200 km/h). However handloaders can push the cartridge to generate as much as 15,000 (20300 joules) foot pounds in a modern bolt action, by using a 1000 grain bullet fired at 2600 f/s (2850 km/h). However, doing so makes the action of the rifle used nearly inoperable (especially in the case of a boxlock or sidelock rifle), while at the same time rupturing the cartridge casing and the primer cap.

i have heard that 5 rounds of 700 nitro cost in the ball park of $100 a guy my dads friend hunts with has one it'll drop that elephant in one shoot apparently but i think a 20mm should do the trick if you hand loaded a HP bullet into it and can be had for only 8 bucks a round
