Visa petition was approved, paid my anti fraud and filing monies and now a paper social security # in hand and Oklahoma DL inbound.

Since I will never be able to get it across the line I want to keep costs reasonable but since our main residence may be in Texas in the not so distant future also decent quality. I shot my workmates G43 and was suitably impressed (first ever Glock for me) or the Ruger LC9? I'd love a Kimber K6 revolver for the looks and lines but its more cash than I want to spend to have to potentially give away to one of my buddies down south if paperwork doesn't get renewed or the firm wants a project done in Kanuckistan.

Pretty cool down here, some of the most polite and hospitable folks you'll ever meet, the anthem plays everyday on the radio at 5:30 am on the way to work every day by a number of various artists, collage football is religion and food is a social fibre binding everyone together, never ever say "no thanks" when offered grub down here.... lol

Cost is a big factor in the number of Shields around. Things are tough in the US gun market and about a year ago or so, S&W offered a big rebate and with other sales going on, you could buy a NIB Shield for about $230. There a nice gun, but I have never been a fan of the S&W M&P hinged trigger.

I prefer the Glock 43 as it fits my hand better than Shield or the Glock 26. I would like to handle a SIG 365 to see how that feels, but they have had their fair share of problems too.
