I like the Sig P228 but it is hard and expensive to find a new one. I already have a Norinco P228 which I like. I am just worried about durability and longevity.
Since you could purchase about 3 Norinco P228s for the cost of one Sig P228, is it economical to wait for the Norinco to break down and then use it as spares for the next one? Or would they not interchange useful parts?
It is the slide that is the weak point on some Norinco P228s, right? Can a new Norinco or SIG slide be swapped in?
Can you upgrade a Norinco with a lot of SIG parts, or would this cost so much and be so much trouble that you should just find a SIG?
At the very least I am going to find some nice SIG wood grips for my Norinco.
