Rim fire magnum?

Man do feel like a dumb ass now! LoL

I can rember jamming these into my singal cooey as a child! LoL

with all the new rimfire stuff and the short mags and super short mags i assumed it was somthing new:redface::redface::redface:

You should feel like a Dumb-ass now gimme a deal on a nice Marlin lever.

The 22 mag is an awesome lil round. They have good punch, in terms of rimfire, and are less "explodey" than the newer 17's.
What's wrong with explodey? :D. I love the way the .17 foldes em inside out. But I guess if you're trying to keep the meat or somethin ;).

I was looking at a 22mag a while back myself. I was told by a couple of buddies that they tend not to be accurate and the ammo is expensive so I went with a 223 centrefire which is still fairly inexpensive. Any truth to the rumor or is it more the gun shooting it (or the nut behind the wheel)?

22 mag is extremely accurate. Out of the Marlin 22M I had, I could get a 5 shot group at 100M that could be covered with a nickel.

22 Mag not accurate? Where did that baloney come from? I have a CZ 452 American in 22 Rimfire mag (Have one in 17HMR also) It will shoot 5 under an inch at 100 with three different ammos, and even the poorer shooting stuff is not bad. Columbia Ground Squirrels and crows want to be cautious around it, for sure! Regards, Eagleye.
