well, I put a deposit down on a FX-9, figured I may as well get a RDS sooner than later, as wolverine is getting there shipment pretty soon.

Whats the cheapest reliable RDS that would work for an ar style PCC?

^^^ The TRS-25 is ok, but will disappoint in bright sunlight.

I suggest a PA, Holosun or Vortex at a minimum. Pretty hard to beat the Vortex lifetime warranty as they're all comparable otherwise...

I've run C-More Railway's on a couple of PCC's that I have and have never had any issues. They can be found in the EE sometimes for around $250.00.

Holosun are very attractively priced for what you get. I wouldn't even look at a TR-25 compared to Holosun. Vortex is another well priced option with a great warranty.

I like Holosun and Vortex for the money and have run both but my new fave is the Sig Romeo 5. Same price point but so far seems way sturdier than either the Holosun or Vortex.

I like the Holosun's a lot, I have a basic 403 on my ar and a 515cu on the wife's and they are both great optics for the price,, however, if I were buying an rds right now I would be buying the Holosun/PrimaryArms co effort with the ACSS reticle, that is just a fantastic reticle from all I have seen, very very cool rds, and the bullet drop is calculated for everything from 300 Blackout to 9mm

I started with Holosun 403 (just a dot) and it was good. But as I started shooting more I switch to the holographic circle dot. The reason, when I shoot 5 or 7 yard targets I use the lower part of the ring to aim, and at 15-25 I use the dot. Give or take, it's much better for pcc close shooting.

I went to buy a 515c but after looking at the 510c (one that looks like eotech), I got that one. The larger window makes it quicker for side to side targets and it had less of a fuzzy circle than the eotech side by side in the store.

The holosun 510c won't do you wrong. Reliable has them to check out, as I saw you're in Vancouver.
