303 Brit. S# 9378. Bbl. shortened to 13 7/8". Consignor states conversion work done by Greener, but more likely from Greener's basement as workmanship is basic, but possibly South African Police armourer conversion for patrol saddle bag. Sheet steel sight protector. Stock bolt is new one piece rod w/ threaded end & collar. Sliding handle folds out for disassembly. Butt trap ground for easy access to stock bolt. Takedown conversion would be approx. 21" assembled length approx. 33". Rifle shown on page 207 in Skennerton's "THE LEE-ENFIELD RIFLE". Buttsocket marked on right side "crown GREENFIELD 1924 SHTLE V".
