Handgun sales?

Its definitely a buyers market at the moment.I recently bought 2 handguns both of which were "grail guns" that Ive been on the lookout for a few years and they were up for sale in a few weeks of each other and both at very good prices.I also get the impression that people are offloading their collections selling multiple guns at once.I think Ive seen more interesting old and collectible guns in the EE at the moment than Ive seen for a few years.Crazy asking prices also ensure that those guns will not sell any time soon as well at the moment.

Im going to carry on buying and shooting my restricteds, lifes too short to worry about the "what ifs"

I'm buying high quality guns now so that I can hand down heirloom quality guns to my sons when they get old enough. I don't think they'll do a ban...

Have spent a lot of time in gun stores recently and they tell me they are selling the way more restricted than anything else. People want handguns and ARs.
Yea, good idea if they want firearms.
I haven't seen any new batches from Tradex in the last few months, just the same 3 pages, was wondering if they were holding off to see what will happen with possible bans!

I have noticed that many dealers are keeping only a small inventory, they could be the first to be touch by a ban, i guess if it ever happen will be to take away their permit so no new firearms are sold.

Hopefully i am wrong, i love buying handguns.

Has more to do with supply. The Canadian market doesn't see guns on a consistent basis. Demand for new handguns has also been extremely high lately which will also drive down inventory.

When the last round of handgun prohibitions took effect, only individually owned handguns were grandfathered. Dealer inventories were prohibited and ineligible for sale to grandfathered owners. I doubt its a concerted effort on gun stores to reduce exposure to a handgun ban. It takes months to pass legislation, and there will be plenty of warning and time for fire sales to clear out inventory before any possible ban.

The only shop that I notice bring in constant inventory is Ellwoods, everyday they have new inventory come in on the website from new to old, some days over 40 new firearms, no idea where they get them all. Last couple of weeks a couple pythons, a couple of anacodas, king cobra. A model 29-2 8 3/8 just came and sold same day in excellent condition with display box for $899. Lots of mausers and all kinds of old guns if you got the patience to go through there inventory of over 4000 firearms.

I am on fire. Just bought an excellent King Cobra complete with papers and case from Epps also bought a Sig P226R Combat FDE from Durham.

I've noticed the lack of sales /lower prices as well months ago, even strated a thread about it before. It's weird to me because some 10 years ago when Paul Martin promised to ban handguns if elected sales have increased. Yet now no ban has been proposed and people get all timid. :/

On a personal level I've sold a couple and ones I have are keepers. Haven't bought anything in a while due to other interests taking up all my spare money (that and daycare :()

If they decide that dealers cant sell firearms anymore we wont be able to get new stuff. So i am on a shopping spree for new firearms. I could buy an extra 10K before the new year.

All firearm's sales are sluggish, not just handguns. The low ballers are having a field day.
Well, low ballers is an open term, there are some handguns, especially revolvers on the EE. That are close to and sometimes more than they are at the gun stores, so low balling those particular ones would likely put the price where it should be. I am looking for another wheelgun, older .44 in S&W or maybe colt, and a S&W .22 masterpiece! I will be buying a couple of those inexpensive Heritate .22 revolvers IRG brought in if they get any more in the right style, they look like fun!

A few politicians are talking about banning ammo sales so doesn't matter if you can't get rid of all the guns, I think loading up on ammo is something to think about. No point having 50 guns with nothing to put in them. Like I stated before younger generations are brainwashed guns are bad. My adult kids don't want nothing to do with them, been trying to get my nephew in his 20's to get his gun license but so far nothing, so I did the next best thing got my wife to get her RPAL and join the gun club so when I kick off, if I still have anything she can put them in her name if that is still allowed.

I think because its an older crowd that has guns and how many guns do you need? Speaking for myself I have bought about 25 guns in the last year, a few safes full and now i'm like hmmmm okay so now what?? I open up the safes go through them, polish them, take some to the range, I don't hunt, sh1t maybe I should have bought a new ATV or motorcycle lol with that money. At some point I have to decide what the hell I'm I going to do with them, really all I need is a couple good rifles, a good shotgun, a 357 magnum and couple 9mm.

Wow! 1957 Colt Python $5250 plus fees/taxes

Nice piece!!

Yes, i saw that.....$6037.50 with the buyer's premium plus tax and insured shipping.

The prices I saw at this morning's auction seemed fairly strong. The Manhurin MR88 went at $1610 plus tax, shipping etc. I actually have one listed on the EE for a fair bit less right now and haven't had any interest...... weird. Maybe it's just the EE that has slowed down? I wonder if members here are more in touch with what is going on regarding possible Government action....or at least more spooked by it?
