It’s 4lbs the way it sits, probably loose 1/2 lb with taking some off both ends.

I built my PRC on a long action T3X. The WSM length mags will not allow you to shoot factory ammo because the OAL is 2.955" on the PRC

What bullets do you have loaded in there? I've never seen a translucent red tip before.

What brand/caliber of CF barrel ? Proof or Hells Canyon ?

Proof Sendero Light, 6mm 1:8 24"

Early Hornady ELDx before Winchester told them to stop making the tips translucent (look like the discontinued Xp3 Elite I guess)

OK - I couldn't wait. I ended up ordering a Christensen Arms 6.5mm PRC. Should be here next week with 2 days to spare before deer season!

Still going to do a Tikka Build, but I might just refresh my 300WSM build w a new barrel.

Alright 6.5mm PRC has been ordered. Here is what I went with.

6.5 PRC Tikka
- Tikka 300WM donour action
- Benchmark #3 contour - finish at 24", 1:8", recessed crown
- Wildcat Ultralight tikka stock - 1" decelerator pad - painted maybe OD green/Olive green?
- Factory Trigger
- Stock tikka bottom plastic
- Cerakote all metal - Likely Sniper Grey

Cristensen Arms rifle came and went. Do not like rem700 actions or really anything with a 90 degree bolt throw...hard to run a bolt when it is 2mm from your optic in the open position.

Sounds like a cool build......very similar to what Im doing on a Sako A7 donor rifle with a Hawk Hill barrel, Who's doing your build ?

I’m getting Corlanes to do this build. I’ve used ATRS in the past but wanted to try something different.

Corlanes did a good job on my PRC. The most accurate rifle I have ever shot

What are you expecting the finished weight to be? That is if your being weight conscious or not.

Mark Whats your 6.5 PRC COAL ? whats the lenght of those loaded rounds in the Mag ? RJ

2.953" with 143gr ELDX (.013" jump), with 140gr AB it's 2.854" (.025" jump)

With the massive 150gr Sierra MK loaded .024" off lands, the OAL is 3.037" from base of cartridge to tip of bullet
