Except the MDI product has a KNOWN defect in the upper (which apparently has now been corrected) that pinched metal mags. Mine had the issue, but after hundreds of insertions and removals on LAR mags it seems to have worn down the front corners in the upper.

Just use a tried and true mil-spec charge handle and fore go the added expense of the bling handles. I stopped purchasing the lagerer handles when I realized they were a PITA by always getting hung up on vests and hunting clothes.

Radian Raptor or Geissele. Better than stock and the longer handle is usually appreciated more depending if you have a scope or not scope

Just got my SLR last night. I have the lower almost assembled (everything but the buffer tube)
I'm having problems with my safety, I've read on here people had the same problem of it being super tight. Mine is already installed and almost impossible to move without pliers or something. Does anyone have a solution to loosen this up with it already installed?
I tried loosening and tightening the trigger pac several times while exercising the switch, I'm thinking I'll have to remove the switch and hit it with some grit paper.
Someone have tips on how to remove it or loosen it up?

Install it with the trigger box removed. If it spins freely, it's misalignment between the holes in the trigger box and the receiver. In that case, open the trigger box holes with a file/whatever.
If it doesn't spin freely even without the trigger box removed, you'll have to either open up the holes on the receiver and possibly also the trigger box, ooooor reduce the diameter of the safety selector.
(Also make sure you're not pinching the hammer spring between the trigger box and the receiver)
Try it without the trigger pack retaining screw installed. It isn’t necessary and can sometimes twist the pack out of alignment. Leaving it loose will stop the upper from being installed.
I have one of the brand new batch (SN #470 or so) and it required a 3/8" (IIRC) bit being run through the lower with the trigger pack installed. Tried opening just the trigger pack first and it got better, but also the lower's holes were too small. Tried with and without the screw, no change. Would have taken about 30 sec to fix if I just ran that bit through in the first place, but for $1k I didn't want to get too rammy out of the gate.
Absolutely loving this gun, managed to shoot some quick groups the other night just before dark, and the Rise barrel seems excellent. It does need more of a shell deflector, my brass was hitting the reciever just like my WK-180.

I noticed that my safety also got significantly tighter when I tighted the trigger box screw. However I greased all parts where they come into contact with any metal and Im ok with how tight it is as Im still able to go from safe to fire.
I didnt think anything of it until I read this post. However my bolt catch/release is binding on something, i may have to remove it and file down part of the catch/release.

Got it all together, no real issues other than the safety selector that was easily fixed. I messed up the last 1/8" of the gas block roll pin, I'll fix it soon.
Love this thing, it feels great to hold. I'll be shooting it tomorrow.
