I'd like to run my M1 Garand in the odd multi-gun match but I'm struggling to find ways of keeping clips readily accessible yet secure. Can anyone with a magnetic pistol mag holder tell me if a full en-bloc is held securely enough to run around with?

I'm assuming an enbloc loaded with 8 cartridges? If so, I don't think it'll work due to the weight. I did a quick test with my magnetic pistol pouch and a loaded enbloc. I didn't run with it but just shaking my tac vest with it, it causes the enbloc to slide down with every shake of the vest until it finally drops off. Hope this helps.

^ I've heard and seen about this a lot. Putting the sling between the two halves (4x2) and allowing the bloc/ammo to pinch it

My alt idea is to run a small shallow toolbelt, put it by my right pocket so it's already muscle memory, while bringing the rifle to that side slightly to load

Still the best way ...I got mine off ebay cheap and it does double duty for my Garand enblocs and my SKS stripper clips. 10 SKS rounds per pouch

I've read accounts of fighting the Chinese in Korea and troops firing their Garands to the point where the rear handguards were smoking and bursting into flames. Seems the issue ammo belts and bandoleers were up to the need.;)
