Has anybody bought a Ruger #1 in 9.3x74R in Canada?

I have ordered one from Wholesale Sports, but nothing so far. They have been available in the US for some time.

Ruger #1s rule....... I'm not a big fan of the Euro cals.....to each his own....you may have a little more trouble/expense getting Euro brass and bullets, they say it worked well in Africa on medium game and some compare it to the .375 ouch and ouch.

Ruger teamed up with Hornady to release a rifle and a new Hornady loading of the old 9.3 x 74R cartridge. It was announced at this years SHOT show, and I wrote about it in the CSSA magazine. (cheap plug for myself!:D)

Hi RockChucker...You are a lucky dog...I ordered mine after talking to you and was told that it "might" show up this fall.....Has your Mt. Molds 9.3 mold come in yet?..If so how does it shoot?...Did you order a 450-400 3"....I am thinking on that one but the 9.3 will do every thing I want (dumb excuse I know, so will probably get one anyway :p)

Hi Fred,

I hate to make this a slag WS thread but they have never been in in a hurry to order me anything. It might be just a case of finding a supplier who could pull the right strings for you.

Gatehouse seemed to pull a rabbit out of a hat to turn up his Ruger, if you know what I mean...;););)

Yes the mould has shown up not tried yet but still have some time before hunting season. Yuppers I did order a Ruger#1 in 450/400 3" not holdin my breath waiting for its arrival. I did hear something like a December arrival in time for a self xmas gift.
Got to start looking for brass and dies soon.
 
Went to Whole Sale Sports to day to find out about my order of the 9.3x74R. I was told that Ruger is planing a run at the end of the year and guns may be available in Febr next year. So I cancelled my order.
I don't need that gun in Febr.
