Ruger 25 round magazines?

Yes, a couple people at least

No, they (the crown) have always dropped the charges on a plea bargain for some other charge(s) so it has not been tested in court.

AFAIK there exists somewhere (I have asked around here but no one can find it any more) a note to the horsemen NOT to charge anyone with these mags as a single charge, but if they show up as part of other charges then add it to the list.

They don't want a judge to say BS and have a precedent set that their 'interpretation' is not the actually 'the law'.....

I read online the same memo you are speaking of. Not sure if anything has changed lately.

Nothing wrong with 25 shot mags but if you can't hit your partridge, rabbit, target with 10 shots other matters need attention.
Had a couple 25 shot mags when they were legal and found they had a tendency to hang up.
Gave them away and went back to the stock 10 shot mags.

A link to that memo would be amazing...

Not RCMP, but a Division's interpretation of how to apply. RPG = reasonable and probable grounds

I always thought that to "pin" a magazine in Canada, you must have a firearms business licence, and the ability to "pin / modify" magazines must appear as a condition on that business license.
The average PAL owner is not permitted to modify a magazine
Have I got this right

Who would ever know once its done.....

If you went to Bass Pro in Vaughn and bought all the BX-25's they had in stock, but then decided you didn't want 11 counts of possession of a prohibited device.

True, but when you're in southern Sask or Alberta popping gophers, 23 gophers out of 25 shots isn't doing too bad. And two minutes later you can repeat it but only if you have another 25 rd mag ready to go... pain in the butt having to give up the old well-broken-in butler creek steel lips mags.
