I def need a new forward assist that will actually reach the bolt!

Besides that tho the first 59 rounds I put through it today...40 of Barnaul and 19 of Aguila (not exactly clean/high end ammo) and it all shot perfectly.

Still need to fine tune my irons but with them I was shooting about an 8" group at 200 yards in the rain...again this was with lower quality ammo/irons only and I am far from a top shot so I am quite pleased with it so far.

Gun was cleaned well before use and was properly lubed up and before its first range trip.

My point is that all rifles have production issues from time to time...this thread is proof of that.
I'm not running the rifle down or the dealer or saying I wouldn't buy one...just pointing out the lip service from some specific users about other brand issues are as we can plainly see, not limited to only that other brand.
Anyways that's just my 2 cents worth and I'll leave it at that...I'm sure any issues will be looked after in a timely manner.

2) Issue: .308 rifles in particular seem to have issues with fte/double feeds. Especially within the first 100 rds.

Solution: Check the two retaining screws for gas block. it appears these hex bolts are not necessarily tightened from factory and can back out, allowing the gas block to shift and affect pressure.

Almost/Maybe. While it is good to check alignment and tightness of gas block regardless, and it is true there were some rifles from the first shipment with gas block set screws that did need snugging up (25 inch/lbs or about two fingers on the allen key, don't reef on them), most of the issues we have been contacted with have been completely resolved by cleaning and properly lubricating the new rifle.

Of five rifles sent back for function issue evaluation, on examination three showed no obvious sign of lubrication having been applied, and these rifles then functioned 100% in test fire after a very basic cleaning and lubrication. We still went through them with a fine tooth comb, but there were no issues to correct. Please clean and lubricate your new rifle (any new rifle). At least one of these owners posted their problem on-line before contacting us, and received much varied advice, change components, springs, buffers, BCGs, etc. If you haven't cleaned and oiled your new rifle, that is the correct first step.

I disassembled and cleaned and oiled mine. Still haven't made it to the range yet, but am new to "tactical" semiautomatics, and was wondering how much residual oil to leave on moving parts??

We were told a thin layer of oil on contact points that move, however some prefer to run the bolt wet.

how wet? hit the range and experiment with a few extra drops. I run my daniel defense pretty wet and it took quite a bit for it to finally gum up.
 
I find myself wondering how many years I could own a rifle with a forward assist that didn't contact the BCG and never know it. I'd probably notice sometime around the first barrel change.

I have yet to own a car that hasn't had a recall ! Or bought electronics that worked past the warrenty ! The way it has been handled by STAG-10 and AE shows me they care about the customers. And some of these issues are pure nitpicking if you ask me!!!
 
I have the irunguns built stag 10 with 6.5 cm and adjustable gas block
Anyone know the sizs of the allen key to just the gas block?
My smallest allen key is 3/32 and its too big

I don't have any of the mentioned issue but I did have issues with it feeding the first round afew times. But I use the rifle right outta the box no cleaning and surplus ammo. Seems like im the only one with issues with that so far. Works better then most my other rifles though lol
 
Could need some breaking in. The other option is whether you are letting the charging handle return unobstructed? or does it still have the issue when you use the bolt release?

AE has said time and again the rifle needs a cleaning and proper lubrication out of the box.
