Looking for some different ideas for attaching a sling to my Rossi 92 (besides the Uncle Mike's front tube clamp).
Pictures would be great!

A leather shoe lace with a choker loop on each end adorns my Taylor Alaskan All Weather 92 takedown in 44 mag.
Have you checked out Brass Stacker slings

I had a Rossi 92 and it had the saddle ring. I used a single point sling and it work great
I have a 454 so it has a threaded cap at the end of the mag tube. I was thinking of have a sling swivel installed on this tube and one on the butt.
Has anyone ever done this?
Well that's a different idea... I'll have to think about that one.
I most often carry this rifle with me through the bush. A one-point setup with both hands free might be just what the doctor ordered...
I use a single point with my full stocked Ranch Hand and it works great but I don't think I would like it as much with a 20" barrel gun. I am only 5'9" though.
I was walking the dog in the back 40 trying to imagine having my carbine (it is a 20" model) hanging from my chest as I wrestled my way through some willow vines while crossing a stream. I'm 6'4" so was thinking it might be alright but I'd have to try a mock up before I commit.
How do you like your full stocked ranch hand? Is it in 357?

IMG_0936 by cody c, on FlickrI love it! It's in 45 Colt. Probably my most carried gun as I carry it every night when I walk the dogs and on lots of daytime walks too.
The "experts" on here have informed me that it is not enough cartridge for bear protection but I think a 255gr RNFP @ 1800fps will adequately do the job.
Hopefully I never have to prove it one way or the other![]()
I ordered some barrel bands with a side loop for a sling to be cut by waterjet, then ground down the edges to profile it to shape. I think I might have sold one or two. They were in 304 SS. Had to source a tap to match the odd ball factory thread pitch. These were for my winchester 94, I used to have pics in a thread but that was before photobucket went full retard. I'm trying to find pictures now. Not sure if the profile is the same a win 94, but I'm happy with them.
