Anyone know of a anadian source of dies that will fit a Lyman Tru-Line junior press? I figured it would be nice to get my second press in action now that my g/f has started to reload, problem is this press is set up for the 5/8-30 thread dies.

I found a place on the internet, but they want $65 U.S. for a set of dies, that's not including taxes, duty fees, and shipping. For that price I might as well find a used RCBS single stage and put my Tru-Line Jr. back in the closet.

Epay isn't much better, and most of that stuff looks pretty cruddy.

The Lyman Tru-Line Junior press isn't made anymore. Apparently not since 1970. You're right. It would be cheaper and less fuss to buy a used RCBS press.

Dies for the Lyman Tru-Line junior show up on eBay on a fairly regular basis.
Dirty dies usually can be cleaned up without too much trouble.

I could be wrong but I believe the Lyman Tru-line dies are the same thread as the Lyman 310 Tool dies. You just may have to use a Lee or RCBS hand priming tool, but when I reload on a single stage press I use a Lee priming tool anyway.

TUDENOM;
What caliber of dies are you looking for ?
John

I'm thinking mostly handgun cartridges like 9x19, 357 mag, or maybey 44 mag. I also reload a lot of 303 BRT, 7.62x54R, and 6.5x55 but I think I'll leave the rifle stuff to my Herters press.

I think you're right BEARMAN, the 310 dies might work out as well.
