Antique Pistol Barrel

I have have a very old black powder 9" flintlock or caplock pistol barrel
that was given to me some 50 years ago. I am wondering if anyone
collects such things.

looks french or spanish to me, maybe even italian. i collect them when they come around. flint barrel.

Possibly middle eastern as well-definitely flint and price between 50- and 200- , need a lot of other old stuff to make it into something worthwhile. IMHO!

it would be a shame to bugger it up in order to make it into a cannon. As long as the breach plug is intact (ie threads are not rusted away or otherwise compromised) it would make more sense to build a flintlock pistol around it
