I will be using a Kimber Mountain Ascent 270win topped with a Sworo for deer hunting.

Started the season with the Tikka Lite in 300 WSM. Buck tag filled:

Will fill supplemental's and chase dogs with the Stag 10 in 308

Edit to say, I'm not going to be reloading with Hornady ELD-X anymore.. the 200 grain bullet didnt pass through this buck! Caught back edge of the ribs, double lung, left one hell of a mess inside but not a drop of blood. Really put my tracking skills to the test..

They blew apart in 4" jug of water when i tested them. The 2nd jug looked like a shotgun hit it. I chose to stay with the sst for a violent bullet. At least they make the 3rd jug in the line. And they started 20gr less

I will be using my 6.5X47 for whitetail and take my 300 Win Mag and Cooper 280AI for elk. Dusticles if you want a high BC 30 cal bullet try the Berger 215. Been awesome for me out of 300 RUM or Win Mag. Multiple deer around 500 yds, one at 734 and a elk at 625 yds last year. Check to make sure the tips are clean/clear with a pin or paper clip or small drill bit and the results will be impressive. I have heard the ELD-X is a bit frangible up close. You could also try the AccuBond 200 gr if your shots are always close. the 130 gr AccuBond out of my 6.5X47 has been really good, but so has the 130 Berger.

For still hunting Next week, will be the Savage Axis in .243 with and upgraded Bushnell Scope. Take my Winchester model 94 in 30-30 with Remington 170g corelok ammo along for backup or if I decide to do some spot and stalk. A lot of bush where I'll be. Really long shots will be few and far between.

Dec. Controlled hunt will be my Mossy 500 with rifled slug barrel with red dot sight. Fed 2 3/4 sabots. Again will be hunting in bush with no long range shots.
