Hey guys:

I just bought a new sig 1911 tacops and the grips are not what i have seen on the net. The ones, i have seen are a black stippled type of grip, my new pistol has a black poly grip with a sig medallion on it. I also noticed that it only came with 2 mags not 4 like I've seen on the net. The new case only had slots for 2 mags. Has sig changed what they offer? Im happy and won't ##### because i already have wilson combat mags coming but what's up with not having 4 mags anymore? Has sig changed something? Different grips and only 2 mags? The sales guy didn't know anything (usual)

As far as I can recall, they only came with 2 mags. My Target 1911 came with 2 mags and tne case only had slots for 2. I haven't checked their website in a while to see pics of 4 mags.

I bought a traditional tacops a few years ago and it came with 4 magazines. I think they have gone through a few different variations of the pistol over the years. I know that they have changed the trigger 3 different times as well as the grips. But yes all tacops including the p226 have always been marketed to come with 4 magazines.

The old TacOps used to come with 4 Wilson mags, but those have since been discontinued. Held one of the new ones, and the biggest changes are that they've gone to a traditional 1911 slide, new medallion grips, and contract finishing on all the small parts. To be honest, I feel like they've just cut corners on this one by taking external parts (safeties, etc) from another model.

most likely grabbed the XO model thinking its the Tac-op. They look the same if you don't pay attention and the only differences are Tac-ops has a magwell and night sight, XO doesn't.

that isn't the new tac-op, that's the Fastback. It also has the rounded butt frame.

Current Tac-ops and all previous Tac-Ops didn't have contrasting control parts. But yes, the medallion grip it is a new feature.

I know what you're getting at, but perhaps I overstated 'contrast'. I'm not speaking of the chrome on the fastback/nightmare. This would be as though comparing semi-gloss to matte black.

Update, may have caused an issue when there wasn't one. Got the new unit home and there actually was 4 mags. Guess i should look alot better when i get a fresh unit.

They still come with 4 mags and the SIG profile slide.

I have a new, just delivered from Sig Tacops sitting in my gun safe. Its so new, I haven't even received my papers from Ottawa yet. It came with 4 Wilson Combat mags. Apparently, it has other WC parts as well....or at least that's what the interwebs told me.

I know the Tacops are supposed to come with 4 mags, so I'm not sure what's up. Then again, I received two mags with my Gen 5 Glock 17 (when three were advertised), and my MCX Virtus came with a beat up metal STANAG mag instead of the smoke polymer one that Sig sells with the gun. So, who knows what happens between factory and gun store and home. I suspect more than one extra mag have become store stock and resold, but I don't know for sure.

ahhh, yes the control on the Tac ops are more matt than then regular blued FCG on the regular sig 1911.

now i am curious, what other WC does it come with? Mine is an old model (2011ish). I believe right after they got rid of the "blackwater" name. Looks to be CMC mags with a different basepad. Reason why i know it is CMC is that i actually have the CMC mags and they look identical down to the followers, again except the base plate.
