I was looking through some of the boxes I have and noticed this one. $92.50 seems like a deal to me ....... although it was 62 years ago.;)
Even adjusted for inflation to $825 it still seems like a good deal for a well made, accurate gun.
I think these 3-5-7's are really quite under valued when you consider there were only about 15,000 made in the 1950's

Just found this. Looks like the price of my 3-5-7 had gone up a couple of bucks since this ad was running. That's a sweet deal on Pythons even adjusted for inflation.

I have 4 inch just like that about 95%, bought cheap last year, great gun. but I don't have the box.
The python was just SO much more back than, They are under valued I also think ,the 357 model that is.
Smiths are easier for the average person to work on.
Dan Wesson is the best that way
Some where I have a listing from about 1960, Python was $99.00 SIR maybe?

Mine is that way already, I like it better than the 6 inch, but my customer base is small, ( but active)
Too bad that colt never made 4 1/2 or 5 in ones, the 3 inch one was great, LOL.
Most of old farts with 12-6, just figure one more won't hurt, and lots of great bargains out their, with the exception of the snake guns.
If they ever become prohibs you just may see those prices again.....

Got my Targetmaster hardly used from a CGN er a couple of years a go at a decent price it is a keeper and blueing you don't see any longer

I have a 1956 .22 Officer's Model Match and a 1964 OMM chambered in .38 spl. Both are a joy to shoot and I think represent great value in today's market. I got the .22 in a package deal that included a 1941 Officer's Model Target also in .22. Interesting to be able to see the design progression. (The OMT photo is the darker blue/gray background)

Early sixties i bought from Laurin Sport on Beaubien street in Montréal ( some will remember the place, it was great ), i bought 2X Ruger Deerstalker 44 mag brand new, for 99.99 each, both the carbines are still unfired and are a prize possesion.

Can’t wait to see both original boxes, and both unfired rifles as a matter a fact!!

The Deerstalker (marked on the barrel) was only manufactured for 2 years (1961-1962), 3,750 rifles made. Name changed to .44 Carbine following the Ithaca lawsuit. The Deerstalker marked rifles commands 2x to 3x the price of the common post ‘62 .44 carbine model
