hey there.
I was wondering does anyone sell non functioning replica revolvers? My autistic son loves revolvers, but hates the bang of real guns. looking for the heft and mechanical action of the real thing. any ideas/ suggestions?
thanks

I think you should go back under that large rock you come from, thats the guy’s son you are talking about!
It might not be the best idea he had however thats uncalled for.

^ What he said.....X1,000!

Although i would take great care not to let him have unsupervised access. I seem to remember recent report of an autistic teen's house getting SWAT-ed after a neighbour reported a gun.....could have ended in tragedy

edit I see you're on Campobello so probably less of a woory than being in town but still..........

Giving a retard a fake gun is a horrible idea.good way for the simpleton to get shot.

True, but you cannot say it. This is 2018; some people in 2018 are easily offended, so - even if the core message happens to be true - there are some words that the rest of us are simply not allowed to say.

There are many ways to point out the potential pitfalls of the OP's proposed course of action without being so nasty or disrespectful.

I'm surprised anyone would be so lacking in common decency as to make a comment like that made by deuce deuce to the parent of an autistic child.

Are you for real? What responsible parent who owns a TV and watches the news would think it wise to arm his autistic child with a life-like revolver replica?

If you read the original post, it has all the marks of a troll. That is the first thing I thought.

Maybe the OP doesn't own a TV...

This isn't a freedom of speech issue. Words are tools, Wendell. You understand that. D-D's language demonstrates very clear disrespect for both the OP and his son. Disrespect that profound, offered to a total stranger, isn't feckin' done.

And in our community, currently portrayed in media and polite society as "a bunch of troglodytic mouth breathers that just like killing", saying such a thing reinforces people's beliefs that we suck.

We can be the rebels that we think we are without being dicks. And d-d (now righteously pink) was being a ####. if he's enough of a raging arsehole to say something like that to a total stranger, I hope the ban is permanent.

After reading all the stuff ,I will make 2 points, if he stays in the house, maybe? and look up the laws on replica guns , It is total B.S. and not something I am up in , real ones yes.
I don't think it is a good idea.
have you got real good ear muffs for him, and what are you shooting? 22's, you can but real quiet 22lr, or cb caps are low noise

I,m glad he got banned no reason to use words like that. Another idea are those soft air guns,bb,pellet replicas. They are pretty close to the real thing. You even have bullets to load in them. BUT again to be used supervised only. Father and son in the backyard doing some plinking not running the streets with it.

I remember being in a handcraft/model store in the 1970's and they had a 357/44 replica there that looked pretty awesome, it was gold too. I ended up buying a Luger replica, even has the clip and slide action etc. It seems to be pot metal though. Surely they still must make similar stuff?

P.S I bought one of those 357 BB CO2 guns, it's all metal you can take "bullets" out...what a piece of ####. I can see the BB going thru the air.
