Too bad Freedom Ordnance jacked the price 17% from the original $899 to $1049 (and pushed back the ETA from July to October). That killed my enthusiasm and I cancelled my pre-order. Not the dealer's fault but pretty sleazy on FO's part.
Just checked Epp's website and they jumped another $45 (to $1095). Yikes.
Meanwhile I just picked up a Ruger PC-9 at Bass Pro for $749 ($50 below) the pre-sale price.
Is it just me or is it officially not worth it at $1100? Ruger PC-9 for $750... other 9mm carbines at $1000... Maybe I'm wrong but $900 was a sweet spot.
Have you looked lately at the NR PCC Market?
Chiappa M1-9 $500
Keltec 2k $800
Ruger PC9 $850
TNW Aero $900
JR Carbine $1000
Thureon Defense $1200
CX4 $1300
at $900 FX-9 would make it no question the best bang for buck PCC with it accepting glock magazines, being NR, and the ability to accessorize it.
At $1050 it just becomes a regularly priced NR PCC, where it become a choice between cheaping out and going for the lower cost options or splurging for a more expensive one.

EXACTLY.
I'd much rather have a fx9 for 1100 then a fugly PC9 for 850!
I would buy a FX 9, but my JR has treated me so well, it'd be a shame to ruin an already good thing.
Why not own both?
You guys realize you can't buy a restricted 9mm AR for under $1000? So now we have a non restricted option at just a tiny bit over $1000 and now it's too much.
I agree that raising the price for no other reason other than they know they'll still sell them is shady business but it is capitalism and it's why we have options available to us. If $100 is a make it or break it for you I'd say you probably couldn't actually afford it at either price. If you want the price back where it was then you need to rally the troops and have them sell zero units at the new price. Oooops, too late, guys are already buying them at the new price.
I'm not a fan of any of the PCC's in the list earlier, I'd much rather pay a little more for one of these and would have bought one (still might) if I hadn't gotten a smokin deal on a gen 2 Vector a few months ago.
Why not own both?
Because I can't afford having 2 PCCs that basically do the same thing![]()
