Hi,

I'm looking for suggestions for a scope to put on a. 22.
- I need it to be in the magnification range of 2-7, 1-6, etc.
- No paralex adjustment to fiddle with.
- It should be small, probably max 32mm, the smaller the better.
- Some.kind of bdc reticle would be nice.
- Good glass quality.
- Good eye relief is a plus.

Is there anything out there that doesn't break the bank?
I would like to keep it max up to $300 if possible.

Thanks for any suggestions.

I have a Bushnell Elite in 2-7x32 and it is dandy on my BL22. No bdc reticle but I dont care about that on a .22lr. I just use good ol' kentucky windage and holdover like the good old days. The glass is really good for the money. Eye relief is about 3" which is normal.

Bushnell Engage series, 2.5-10 or 3-12. It's the most affordable quality scope out there that still has adjustable parallax down to 10 yards. I have the 3-12 on my CZ 455 and couldn't be happier with it. It's about $100 over your budget but worth every penny.

The Weaver Classic is discontinued and cant find it anywhere.
The Nikon has those "tactical" turrets I don't need on this setup.
The Bushnell Elite in 2-7x32 looks good but I think it is intended for
center fire use and I believe (couldn't find the specs on that) the paralex is set for 100m.

Keep the suggestions coming. :)
Thanks.

I have a Bushnell Engage already and I love it.
I want something that is compact as possible and doesn't have exposed turrets and parallax adjustment.
I might be looking for a unicorn?

You are. I did the same searching you did. For me parallax adjustment is a must on a rimfire. All so called rimfire scoped don't have it. I wanted capped turrets and a simple duplex reticle. Leupold would have fit the bill but in the VX-3i line you have to get the 4.5-14, and parallax only goes down to 75 yards. I looked into AO Leupold scopes, they're hard to find, and much more money than the Bushnell Engage. They're also the VX-2 line, still very god scopes though.

In the end a good deal came up on the EE for an Engage and I went with that. I don't crank the turrets on it and I have no use for the MOA reticle. It still does a perfect job on top of a rimfire. It's a full featured scope that can also go on any centerfire if I wanted to go that way.

The VX-Freedom is actually quite nice for about $300,-. The 2-7x32 rimfire may have the reticle you are looking for.

I am leaning towards the VX-Freedom Rimfire 2-7x33, seems to fit the bill and it is actually
available locally and I can have a look at it in the store.

I couldn't find in the specs if the parallax is set at 50 or 100?

Anybody have this scope? Like it? love it? hate it?
