some chinese POS scrap, reminds of a SKS... but for $30 couldn;t resist, big pile of them there. single shot break action. pulled off into a rest area for lunch on way home to PG and destroyed a few pepsi cans. seems to shoot strait....

I bought one about 5 years ago at Herbies in Kamloops.Still shoots good.I was surprized at the power in it because it looks like a pos.I've since passed it on to the G/F kids and it seeing lots of use.

I have heard that the cheap air rifles from China are sometimes much higher than 500fps. But some of them are also much slower than the posted 495fps on the box. You don't know which one you're going to get until you get it home, though.

But hey, for $30, it's hard to complain.

For $30, as long as it shoot strait and puts holes in cans it will work wonders as a "hey want to try shootin?" toy that I can use in a backyard. will post pics and a range report this weekend.

Kamloops, sorry. was on my way home from kelowna......

Damn, I was in Kamloops just yesterday too. Parted with not just a few bucks a WSS, and drove right past Herbs  Could have used one of them on the crows around here.

Colin, see if you can get you hands on some these. http://www.airgunpellets.com/index.htm
I use them in my Webley Hurricane, big improvement over even the best lead pellets. Not cheap but deadly.

stop talking lame

who cant make time for real guns, like a Ruger GP100, 700 VSSF-II, Sako 75, etc

moderators, move this topic to the airsoft forum

Convenience. Sometimes its nice to take 10 minutes out of your Sunday and just walk into the back yard and attack some cans. Some people don't have enough time to get out to the range or to their favourite crown land spot all the time...

Why not just shoot 22's in the back yard. It's what i do. Or sub sonic 30-30...Or 375 Ruger...

I agree wiht Bartlel, this topic shoudl be int he airsoft (airghey) forum. Shame on you Amphib.:slap:

Theres a Place in WInnipeg called Tool Town and they also carry 2 kinds of these cheap break open pellet guns. 30$ and 35$ @ 495 fps. After a good cleaning, im sure they would be great plinkers. and like anything else, they can be tweaked and upgraded if need be. This store also oddly enough sells kick ass looking crossbows and arrows. Some single stage crossbows and compound style crossbows. They start at 60$ and go to about 110$ or something like that. They have 4 or 5 models to choose from. Weird place to find things like that. This place is kinda like a competitor for Princess Auto. But after a fourth of the size. If any Peggers want to go and take advantage and grab a few of these cheap pellet guns for themselves or their kids, Tool Town is down McPhillips. I think its around the Jefferson turn off. IF you get to Jefferson youve passed it. And its on the west side. GO GIT EM :)
