The original CZ Shadow qualifies for IDPA. The Shadow 2 is just a little too big.

IDPA seems to have many more ....rules... than either IPSC or ICORE.

if you get the 320 get the X5 version, then if you shoot IPSC you can just remove the magwell. It is a far superior frame/grip design over the regular one, and it comes with phenomenal sights too.

The X5 is a bit spendy. A local shop has a new P320 Nitron going for $579 (on sale) while the X5 is closer
to $1300. I was planning on using the money for ammo ;-)

OP, you will learn a lot from Slavex...or jimbo. You could use a Hi Point and still be excellent after he is done with you.

Get what feels best in your hands, and no matter what anyone says you dont need a cz or $1000 plus gun to be competitive or even win. Its good positive training, strategy and more training.
