Does anyone know if the box magazines for the Dagger SAP6 and Derya Mk. 12 shotguns are more or less of the same dimensions - width and depth? In other words, will the SAP6 mags be a snag fit into the magwell of Derya Mk. 12?

Thanks.

The pump action shotgun mags you are looking for are for the Uzkon AS46. The SAP 6 mags are rock in and will not work.

Trust me. I know from first hand experience.

I have both a Sinasti pump and an Alpha arms 15SA and the mags from each fit, latch and function in the other.

The AS46 do not lock the 15SA bolt open after the last round ejects.

The UZKON mags fit but don’t neccesarily work very well. The pump and semi mags do have some differences.

I have only 100% reliability with mine. The only difference is the followers lack the sprung portion to activate the bolt catch. In fact the mag body even has the notch for it.

Thanks for your help, guys. Any suggestions as to where I can source the Uzkon AS46 mags?

Got mine from Wild West.

Correct as the AS46 mags lack the sprung portion to activate the bolt catch, however if you wish to tempt fate a legal grey area the mag body does have the notch for said spring portion and the follower is identical otherwise and would be a straight swap.

Anyone I know (several) IPSC shooters including me using 10rd AS46 mags in Typhoon F12, Derya MK10, Derya MK12's etc., do so without the follower swap as it is seen as modifying them for a semi. The only thing you have to stand on in court is a receipt for the mags stating what they are for and the lack of the bolt catch device on the follower as there are no markings on the mag like LAR 15 mags.

I have a AS46 just for that purpose.

Thanks for the info. Which one in your opinion would easier to adapt for the Uzkon AS46 10-rd. mags - Typhoon or Derya?

No difference at all. I prefer the Derya Mk 12 over the Typhoon F12 for other reasons but another competitor I know uses a F12 with the AS46 mags reliably as well. You won't go wrong with either gun and AS46 mags.

If your Mk 12 is in good condition and functions reliably with AS46 mags, let me know if you're tired of it and want to sell.....By the way, want to hear your opinion - a buddy of mine bought a Derya Mk. 12 and AS46 mags. The mags go in and lock, however, they lock too low in the gun and the bolt doesn't strip the rounds. Any suggestions?

Have you heard anything about compatibility of MKA 1919 Match shotgun and AS46 mags?

I'm afraid I will not be parting with my Mk12 but thanks for the offer to unload me of this ammo hungry gun. I can't explain why your buddy's gun wont strip out rounds. Me and my friend with MK12's have no issues like that. I can look at it if he is in the Maritimes or wants to ship it to me. I'm no gunsmith but have worked out minor bugs in the Mk12.

No first hand knowledge but I believe all semi auto 12ga box mag Turkish shotguns use the same mags. Your LGS likely has one so drop in and see if they fit.

Moe, a question:

The AS46 mags that you use (or used) with your MK12 without any problems - were they from the old batch (the first couple of batches distributed by Uzkon) or the latest ones sold by Lockhart, with the Lockhart logo on them? Could it be that Uzkon, recognizing that their mags made for pump shotguns fit and work with semi-autos, modified the next batches of mags so that they don't?

I use the actual Uzcon mags purchased last year from Wild West and not the new Lockhart ones. I do not have any reason to believe that Lockhart or Uzcon would do anything to design them to specifically not work in a Mk12. In reality the mag bodies are identical but only the missing bolt catch parts in the follower make the AS46 mags different from the MK12 mags.

Let me help you with the decision with this last statement.
Buy a Derya Mk12 then buy 10rd AS46 mags for it. Just do it.

I bought an AS46 mag but darned if it will work in my Derya MK12. I even changed followers thinking that would be the answer but the round seems to angle up and jam before it can enter the chamber? It's a mystery because the mags appear identical. It fits in and locks but won't feed properly. Funny thing though I put the AS46 follower into the Derya 2 round mag when I switched followers and up at the range Tuesday I loaded it with 2 rounds and it cycled just fine.
