Primary Arms 1-8 x 24

I am considering buying a Primary Arms 1x8-24 ACSS BDC with illuminated reticle. I was just wondering if it is worth the $600.00 being asked for it on Amazon. For the price is there something better? If I could afford it, I would get the platinum model, but it is over $1700.00, but I can't.

I have the 1-6x version....basically the same features and reticle. Glass is decent....ret. is awesome! The ACSS reticle is very easy to use.

Just look at the reviews on YouTube,, there are a lot of guys who shoot a hell of a lot of rounds who say it's the best reticle on the market, guys who shoot for a living. I am sold on it and will be picking one up as soon as I can

I'd consider the 1-6, less money and 7-8 power is not the best on the 1-8.

Hmm..... I know that 600 is not a huge sum to pay for a scope, but to not have good optics across the range, for that price, is not acceptable. Can you elaborate on it not being the best on 7-8 power.

I did check out CTCS, and their price is $634. Also they have none in stock.

Limited eye relief and not the most forgiving "eye box"
It's a pretty huge zoom factor from 1-8 and the 1-6 scope has the same tube and objective so it would stand to reason that it's a bit more forgiving but I have not tried one.......
I also bought my 1-8 from Cowboy when they were on sale last year for less then the current price.

^this. I wanted to try one of the fixed 6X 22LR reticle scopes from PA...so I ordered it from CTS. Great guys to deal with, decent scope too!
