What would a 1944 dated Inland M1 carbine be worth? It’s easily and VG+-EXC condition with an excellent bore.Looks to be a nice all original example. I don’t have any pics, But I am confident of my assessment of its condition.

Barrel markings? Does it have the flip or adjustable rear sight? Does it have the front band with the bayonet lug? All Inland parts?

I have a 1974 Chevelle, the tires have lots of rubber left on them.
What's it worth? Sorry, no pics.

2 door or 4 door? ....lol.... :)

Originality of parts and condition drive the price on MILSURPs. Pictures and a summary of parts markings would be necessary to determine value. Funnily enough, bore condition isn't an issue on Carbines to the same extent as on other MILSURPs. USGI Carbine ammo was non-corrosive primed from the get-go.

I have a typical Korean-era refurb 1944 Inland carbine in excellent shape that I paid about 800 for if I recall correctly about two years ago. Typical USGI refurb with the adjustable sight and bayonet lug if that helps at all. What is nice is how well it shoots - no problem ringing the gong at silver dale at 200m every time.

Because I don’t know carbines. Maybe you can enlighten me on what I need to look for in terms of markings to determine value?

How is it being advertised by the seller? Shooter, arsenal rebuild, or true collectible?

The answer would help you know what to look for, and then help you determine a reasonable price, depending on what you find.

If you are being told that you are looking at a carbine that retains all its correct parts as issued from the factory in 1944, and the seller's asking price reflects this ....then be
prepared to strip it down and inspect all the parts to be sure.
