What is everyone using for a spring configuration in the Shadow 1? I'm waiting for mine to arrive and was wondering what everyone has changed the springs to or whether they stuck with the factory springs.

I was running a 13lbs main spring & an 11lbs recoil spring with buffer from Dlask Arms.

I run mine stock and have no issues, you could check with Slavex who does and see what he recommends and or buy the parts later

99.9% of those who compete run this setup minus the buffer.

With the 13lb main spring and 11 pound recoil spring do you find there is a need for the extended firing pin or that there is no issue with primer strikes?

When you replace the main spring you replace the firing pin spring at the same time. No need for an extended firing pin spring.

The main spring will come with the firing pin spring you replace as well. So you're replacing 3 springs in total.

Not sure who you dealt with but when I ordered springs they did not come in a package that included a firing pin spring. This post did remind me that on my Shadow I did add the extended firing pin and Rami firing pin spring, I did not do this on either of my Shadow 2's. I don't believe it is necessary but at the time I was placing an order from CZ Custom and figured I may as well get both and eliminate any possibility of light strikes.

I've never seen one included with a Main spring unless they were selling a spring package.

Check out Dlask arms. They sell the CZ Custom mainspring with firing pin spring. They also sell the recoil springs.
