Marstar Stocking AR-15 "Pistol" Mags

Perhaps if Marstar had something that even remotely resembled responsive customer service (as opposed to the 'black hole' that is their email in-box) ...but life is much too short to be doing business with a company that ignores repeated attempts by potential customers to contact them.

They really ought to take a few pointers from folks like Mark at Questar.

Umm... they have a toll-free 1-800 number that works 100% of the time...

I find this both interesting and disturbing, as a web based company that derives a high percentage of it's income from the internet and e mail why would we ignore you ?

Or web site generates an average of 46,000 to 50,000 hits per day, we receive between 700 and 850 e mail per day.... ( a lot of junk) we attempt to reply to the vast majority within 24 hours (except week-ends) the more complicated queries can take a few days....

I would appreciate you making me aware of when you sent in your numerous e mail messages and to which mail box they were directed, this way we can investigate and attempt to correct the problem....

And yes we do have a toll free number (1-888-744-0066) and we are open from 8am to 4pm eastern time zone.... If no reply to e mail ? why not call ?
Regards
John

There were only a small quantity of magazines (in the very first importation) that had "short" springs. This was an error at the manufacturer, when someone in production grabbed the wrong box of springs and accidentally used some of them in the assembly.

Everyone who contacted us and indicated they had a problem has since been sent free replacement springs.

All shipments since that time have been correct and we have not had a single reported problem (of any kind), with any subsequent magazine shipments.

All of the inventory that Marstar, TSE and other dealers have is current and correct (ie: proper length springs, etc.).

Mark

As soon as I realized that my mags had the short-spring problem, I contacted Mark and he shipped the correct springs to me. I had them within a week. Mark and Questar unhesitatingly took ownership of a problem that was not of their making.
Now that's Customer Service. Thank you Mark. :)

Just gotta give a couple thumbs up to marstar, I got my mags weeks ago before marstar had them listed or even had part numbers in their system. They told my to write the description as they had them in stock on the order form. I recieved them 3 days later.

Thanks again marstar!

Here's a link for John. These short mag pouches also come in Cadpat. I'd get some for the M14 as well. You could be the mag pouch source.

OK, slightly off topic, but can someone point me to the right regs so I can print them off just in case the range nazi's show up and tell me 10 rounds is illegal.

Hey John, I have purchased quite a bit from you and will continue to do so via 'fax machine', but I have to agree with at least four of the e-mail addresses being 'black holes'. I could point out at least 10 unanswered e-mails and just as many that were answered weeks if not months later. As for the volumn of 'junk' e-mails... that situation is experienced by each and every online retailer. You can employ spam filtering to reduce these numbers. As for 'valid' yet somewhat 'junk' e-mails... well that is a risk of online operations.

(Oh and I have called when I could... the problem for many of us is that your store hours match our work hours and talking 'firearms' on the phone in public offices is often frowned upon).

Anyways... just my nickels worth of input.

If you're going to use the 10 round mags. Print off the actual section which relates to this (from the Criminal code). Also I'd print off, in colour if possible the RCMP response to Questar's application (the official letter with the RCMP insignia). IE when they explain their ruling. This will help you. Otherwise you will probably run into problems sooner or later.
Save yourself the hassle.

I'd also consider laminating the colour copies of the section and the RCMP response. Keep this with your ATT.

My marstar emails, and my friends, have also gone into the black hole. Many more than one and that is just enough to drive me elsewhere.
