Mean looking critter

Does anybody know what this is? A buddy forwarded me this pic looking for an ID. I believe it was found around Cambridge somewhere but uncertain. I'm not even sure if it's wild or domesticated dog like a pitbull. Conversation piece anyhow.

Too blunt of a snout to be K9, definitely looks like a cat of some sort...bob cat maybe?

I have next to zero solid info. You can get some size reference from the dandylion leaves and clover. It's not big. The rope may have been used to drag it back for show and tell.. Maybe a hole in the back of its head? or a coyote pet kill.

Not too much evidence of hair loss so I would guess that it is a mastiff breed dog.

The head doesnt look like a coon to me, not enough snout,and the fangs look to big a diameter. Although the paw looks similar to a coon.

If youve ever skinned a coon most of their snout is not bone

Raccoon I would guess. While I doubt you have any, more pictures and better angles of the skull would help.
