Done an Did it- Mossy Patriot :) * Photos #31

Yip i will do mate, im still payin her off from the lay by with the 'specials' price tag, i should have it within the next 2 weeks though- i think ill go bush without a gun sooner than that an will post up a thread about my NZ travels!

ive handled a few guns in my short time so i feel i can give a decent report back on it especially for the not so elitist among us :D

My two cents worth, WhelanLad.

I am a blued steel and walnut guy, but bought a Patriot in 300 Win Mag just for fun last year. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise, as it was not only quite accurate, but got well over 3000 fps from the twenty-two inch barrel.

Started this thread on it: https://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php/1560819-A-new-lightweight-300-Win-Mag-for-400

Bought a second one in 300 Win that was just as accurate as the first 300. A third one in 243 Win has a walnut stock. It is quite heavy, but also very accurate.

That revere is a pretty sharp rifle considering the price point. I like what they did with the checkering.

Congratulations on everything coming together for you, Good Luck and send pics of your hunting success. Thats a beauty of a rifle, I'm impressed with the look of it, It looks like a very decent quality rifle.

Taking all advice on board and a realistic approach to what this Rifle is for, im fairly happy with how it feels , points and the trigger pressure- I dont feel it is a heavy rifle even withthe steel QR rings and Zeiss terra scope-
the bolt is what some would call 'sloppy' because it moves around a bit when locked in and when fully rearward in ejection mode-- i dont mind at all.

for $599 im not goin to Complain , fingers crossed it shoots within inch and a half group at 100m or MOT (minute of Tahr) at 350 .....

While i was i nthe store i grabbed a new pair of boots, Hunters Element Lima boot, so currently running them in for next weekends adventures-

cheers CGN for opinions on the Mossy Patriot!

Thanks
