I have that stock too. Black with a stainless volquartsen receiver and bead blasted kidd barrel and all kidd parts. It looks like a Cadillac 10/22

I prefer quality over quantity so I will only make one of these and keep it. I can't afford to build something for fun and then sell it off at a loss only to do it again somewhere down the road. I have a Sako Quad that shoots well so that is my bolt action variant that I will am keeping.

That’s a beaut!! I’m thinking of a silver kidd lightweight barrel. My build would b all silver again since my spare kidd trigger group is silver. Otherwise I’d rather build a black one this time

Thanks for all the kind replys gentlemen. I took it out for a function check and it's good to go. I couldn't find my factory Ruger mag anywhere so I used a 10 round steel lips mag with bulk Federal 36 grain HP. My second round had a failure to feed, but that was due to not seating the mag properly. Went through 30 rounds total and all is well. The trigger is very nice, very light, and I will do some research on it as it's my first 2 stage KIDD trigger.

Thanks to you I’m gonna do another kidd build but a lightweight one this time. Seeing as I’ve had an extra kidd trigger pack and bolt assembly sitting lonely for a long rime. May as well finish it lol

I don't anticipate doing a lot of walking with this rifle, but it is nice and light so that is a plus.

I ordered a Leupold VX Freedom 3-9 EFR and Leupold PRW2 (low) rings from Prophet River. If I want more magnification I have a VX2 4-12 AO on my Sako Quad I can swap out.
